LOVE!

Sorry it took me so long to review. Shadows in the West is awesome! They've done some really cool things with l5r, the editing is good, and it's like listening to an audio drama. The characters are well done (Shio is prorbably my favorite), and none of the represenation feels gross (like it usually does); in fact, it feels pretty good to just have queer characters and not have to go into this complicated, convoluted backstory about why, so thank you!

Great show and incredible cast.

Set in an Alternate Rokugani timeline this gem of a podcast is the result of combining good storytelling, excellent players and unique old radio show format. Give them a chance you’ll never regret it.

This Rokugan is the only Rokugan for me

There's something really special about being able to engage with the story of a TTRPG campaign rather than get bogged down with all the mechanics of it, which is something I can appreciate as someone who knows next to nothing about L5R to begin with. I'm invited to be invested in the characters and events as more than sheets and dice rolls and everything feels much more organic because of it. There is a lot of love that goes into this show and it's well worth the listen.
