Shame Rules! is a new narrative podcast that explores the many, many, many ways that shame, often invisibly, shapes not just our own lives and experiences, but our entire world.

Join host Nick Jaworski (Where There's Smoke) as he investigates shame's role in raising and educating children, determining what laws get written and enforced, deciding how we treat marginalized people, seeing how we view change itself, influencing who has power and who doesn’t - and that's just scratching the surface.

Each episode has leading shame scholars, researchers, authors, and filmmakers share fascinating stories about shame at work. The goal is to help listeners understand how shame functions both in their own lives and the lives of everybody around them.

Shame Rules! is produced by Epiphonic and hosted by Nick Jaworski.

Shame parades aren’t just the stuff of books and movies, they are very real. Today’s episode explores these parades from two different angles: The first story is about how community, religion, law, and shame can intersect in ways that don't always work out so well. The other story is about a community confronting shame head on.

Shame Does Rule!

Shame is a biiig topic to tackle and Nick is doing it so well! A great combination of research, storytelling, and just a little bit of winking at a tricky subject.
Great listen!
