Welcome to Episode 107  of Shea Butter FC, a podcast by, for and about Black women in soccer. In this episode, Skye and Sylvs chop it up with Deacon Skyscraper Andre’ Latavious and Coach Courtney Thee Stats of Diaspora United to thoroughly and joyously break down  the 3-0  USWNT win against South Korea.   First they take a deep dive into game plans, player performances and changes implemented in game two. Then they look at player performances across the international window for the USWNT and what this means going forward as we approach the Olympics. They also explore the impact of Emma Hayes on culture  in a short time while looking to the future what this means going forward. They celebrate Crystal Dunn’s first goal as a forward for the USWNT in a long time, and  relive the hype of seeing Lily Yohannes finally debut in midfield and score her first goal while playing with pedal to the medal line up full of Shea Butter Excellence! Then they rant about the media coverage failures and shenanigans in WNBA and the parallels to women’s soccer. Lastly  rave and drop some interesting Hits and Riffs for the week!

 For Rewind Therapy Episode One,  SkyE connects  with two Black Angel City FC fans and Los Angeles natives, (AC Pandemonium Supporter Group Leader, Erica and season ticket holder Daniel) to discuss the first Angel City FC vs San Diego Wave rivalry game of the season and their experience in the Supporter Section of   BMO stadium’s North End.. They also deep dive into the game plans of Angel City FC and San Diego Wave where they explore what worked and what did not for both teams while exploring what to expect after the international and Olympic break. Lastly in a varied version of Hits and Riffs, everyone drops their songs to represent the parts of Los Angeles where they are from/now live, songs for the team, songs for the stands/chants, and goal celebrations. It is a chaotic but fun episode ,so come vibe!
