During this break between seasons, we've done a lot of thinking--about this show, about life, and about what we need most right now in this time when it's so easy to feel disconnected and alone. We're excited to bring you season 2 in September, and we're grateful to all of you who have supported this work and joined our community at shelterinplacepodcast.info. We're figuring out this pandemic life with you, and your support is keeping us going.

    BONUS: Just Stop

    BONUS: Just Stop

Shelter in Place is taking a break from making new episodes right now so that we can make this work sustainable and bring you season 2.
Today’s bonus episode is a combination of two past episodes that I’ve needed to be reminded of this week. They're stories about learning to stop even when everything in life pushes us to keep working ourselves into the ground. I hope they give you some much-needed rest today.
Shownotes, ways to donate and support the show, and our newsletter signup are at shelterinplacepodcast.info.

Shelter in Place

Laura has the most eloquent yet down to earth way to tell her stories. It really makes me “stop” and rest for a few moments while I close my eyes and just listen. Her voice is incredibly soothing. She is an amazing artist and I suspect an amazing mother of three. Carry on Laura. You’ve got it!

Soulful, authentic

Laura’s reflections are beautifully crafted but no less authentic for that. An uplifting fusion of art and honesty, full of insights into our strange cultural moment. I felt I was reconnecting with an old friend.

Lovely & thoughtful

Laura’s podcasts are some of the most thoughtful I’ve found. She uses the time to share succinct, thought-provoking insights that I think are helpful for a wide range of people, regardless of your stage in life.
