Welcome to ShotTakes, where the takes are real, the ads are fake, and NBA discussion rules! Four law students abandon their casebooks each week to discuss the latest NBA storylines, analyze absurd stats (Take That For Data!), and rip shots to punish the hottest takes.

BEAM TEAM
It's an episode we never thought we'd produce: an unironic tribute to the Sacramento Kings. The Beam Team is, for the first time in two decades, one of the NBA's most entertaining squads, and we ask resident Kings cult member Eric Lynch what is going on in Sacramento (after a glorious recap of the last 17 years in the doldrums, of course).

ShotTakes Back (Tell a Friend)
The haters and losers thought ShotTakes was dead—SAD! After a quick half season of load management, we're here to dish on the 2022-23 NBA season: praise, scorn, predictions, and more. We went all around the league in this episode (taped Tuesday night) but stay tuned for a follow up that focuses on one luminescent team that will drop tomorrow....

ShotTakes Gets Schooled in Spurs Culture, Josh Primo Might Be the Next Kobe, and Thoughts on the 2022 Offseason
We're back on the air and pleased to welcome a guest host who actually knows what winning basketball feels like: Spurs insider Elliott Soler. Lots of talk about the state of the Spurs, the Dejounte Murray trade, and of course the other blockbuster deals of the summer.

2022 FINALS: Games 1 and 2
The Finals are knotted 1-1 after an intriguing two games in San Francisco. We react to what we've seen so far and meander into broader, more irrelevant conversations as we always do.

Scott’s Wardrobe
Scott is a humble son of the Rust Belt. He is perhaps one of the best dressed people that I know. He should grow a beard.
Scotty Does Know
Look. If you're looking for a podcast to hate listen to (while secretly tolerating) than this is the Pod for you.
The Lineup: if Skip Bayless stopped yelling and started making sense, but still was weirdly racial at times then it still wouldn't be as good as Martin "Detroit Pistons" C's takes. Unlike the Western Conference, Eric plays defense against Scotty P’s most egregious takes and admittedly watches the Kings on league pass, so you know he's dedicated. Also, Scott has seen no movies, don't expect any insightful commentary on that end. He does know a bunch of useless numbers though and won’t stop shoehorning Nikola “Big Honey” Jokic into conversation (I only know that is his nickname because Scott is on Basketball Reference literally 24/7). Lastly, Elizabeth you're better than this. Leave them all for the eventual Duke centric podcast we all know you’re obviously going to do with JJ Redick.
All in all, solid pod. Best part = insightful questions from always brilliant Special Guests.
Except Kousin Kyle. He is a narc.
