So glad I found this!

I am so happy to have discovered a community where I can not only learn about my ACL/meniscus injury, but also feel a sense of calm that there are others out there experiencing the same thing.

I’m an actress/singer/yogi/runner and my life had to slow down so much when I fell (on stage during a live performance) back in February. Its such a traumatic and lonely journey, and I felt so replaceable. This podcast reminded me that the mental/emotional aspect is super tough for everyone out there (not just me). I feel so much less alone empowered to keep going.

6 months later, I am finally getting my ACL surgery this week. I’m so nervous about the recovery process, but grateful to have this podcast to help get me through! Plus, I’m learning a lot about soccer! Haha. 😊

Great Podcast for the Injured and Family and Friends of the Injured

Great podcast, full of insight, really captures the thoughts and challenges I’ve had during my ACL recovery.
Comparing myself to where I was a day, week, or month ago, instead of where I was before the injury and where I hope to get back to, has been a key mental shift and has helped me celebrate the progress I’ve made so far and feel really good about it.
Knowing how and when to say I’m frustrated, I’m scared, and/or I’m hurting is also crucial to a successful relationship with doctors and physical therapists.

Encouraging and Uplifting

I’m thankfully not a member of the ACL club but had Meniscus and ankle reconstruction from soccer injuries. This podcast address not only the physical but MENTAL side effects of surgery. I love the encouragement gained from this podcast in recovery and embracing my scars.
