We present to for your listening pleasure the second episode of our SisterLit podcast. All three of us sisters are here for this second podcast and our varied viewpoints are on full display in this podcast. First we discuss our favorite books of all time. They are as listed as followed: -Jennifer's List Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith -Jillian's List Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver Blink and Three by Ted Dekker -Jessica's List Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling Prisoner of Azkaban Order of the Phoenix  We delve into the twisty world created by Gillian Flynn called Gone Girl. We talk many spoilers so do not listen if you have not read the book! If you would like to skip this segment it starts 15 minutes into the episode and ends at 38 minutes. We all agree that this book is a fun ride but very intense and not for everyone. The end of the podcast is devoted to our listeners who have commented lovely things about our first podcast. We also talk briefly about our next books we will be reading. We will finish up our discussion of the Divergent trilogy next podcast and also talk about a new trilogy The Infenal Devices by Cassandra Clare. Just for fun, we found that we were using the word Basically quite a lot in this podcast. Anyone who counts the basically's in this podcast gets a shout out in our next podcast will be out in January.

Show Notes Welcome to the brand spankin' new podcast and book club, SisterLit, in which we discuss fiction and our latest family quirks. We introduce several titles of interest, discuss one at length, and weave our unique perspectives and wit into each commentary.  In this episode, we delve into the novel Divergent, the first in a trilogy by Veronica Roth. We also assign a faction for each one of our family members without their input in the matter. We rant our opinions about reading novels before movies like eating cookie dough before the cookie. We talk about the beginnings of reading for each one of us, starting indelibly with our parents commitment to Value Tales, like this one with the guy who we thought discovered penicillin.  Above all, we challenge you to read and to take this adventure with us. We warmly thank you each for listening. Please leave us comments about anything we have discussed or with suggestions on what you would like to hear!  Below are a list of the books we talked about: Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn Book Thief by Markus Zusak Love's Executioner by Irvin Yalom Buddha's Brain by Rick Hanson The Razorland Trilogy by Ann Aguirre

First Listen

My 4 month old daughter decided to wake up a little bit early this morning, so I needed something new to pass the time. I downloaded this podcast knowing little of the topic or book "on the table." That being said, the discussion was very enjoyable and easy to listen to. I now have added three new books/series to my reading list and am eager to participate in the discussion. The Sisters blend well together and the sound quality is awesome! Really great listen!

Fun and informative

I love listening to these three sisters talk about books. Each month I find myself making a list of must-read books, often of books that I didn't know about or had forgotten about. Their discussion is fun and impromptu - never know for sure which direction they are going to head. The podcast goes by way too fast,
