Pittsburgh, PA: Every Time James Says Pierogies, Take a Drink
The iconic city of Pittsburgh, PA has been on James’ radar for a long time. After years of flying into PGH just to jump in a rental car and cross the Ohio border to visit his hometown, he’d had the itch to actually SPEND SOME TIME in the Steel City. But the minute we arrived, Denise was feeling a bit underwhelmed… traffic, rain and buildings everywhere seemed a little oppressive for what she’s looking for in a community. From navigating through the city's famous bridges and tunnels to indulging in local delicacies like pierogies at Pierogies Plus and sandwiches at Primanti Bros, this is our unpolished Steel City experience. We discuss Pittsburgh's unique neighborhoods, such as Lawrenceville and Mount Lebanon, and learn about the city's sports culture (#gosteelers), museums, and celebrity connections.

Fun, entertaining, educational and thought provoking
Skip town Allstars Podcast has been so much fun to follow. James and Denise bring two different perspectives and personalities to the show. They travel to different cities looking for a place to live while navigating spending lots of time together after spending years working and raising kids. They do research of each area, add their own personal take, often with information you could never google and mix in personal family episodes where we can learn about their kids, aunt, mom and friends. They are good about staying on track with the subject but occasionally veer off a little and that makes the show even more interesting to listen to. They are realistic and both have strong opinions of different subjects so even if you don’t agree with them the conversation will keep you at the edge of your seat. Their life experiences of James being an editor, Denise being a personal assistant to wealthy people and owning a permanent make up business and both raising kids and living in different areas makes the conversation engaging and interesting. I’ve been watching on YouTube and the editing and sets are done so well. From episode one I was amazed how articulate they both are and what good story tellers they both are. I’ve been on this fun ride since day one and look forward to each and every show. It really has it all and learning about new places gives me ideas for trips to take. Thank you for sharing your talent and travels with the world. I’m a big fan and love having this to look forward too. Make sure you follow them on IG as well.
