The Supreme Court heard oral arguments for Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, a case which challenged a Mississippi state law banning abortions after 15 weeks. The outcome of this case can potentially lead to the overturning of Roe v. Wade. The Slate of Affairs team sits down to discuss what the future of reproductive rights might look like.

Are We Surprised?
On August 25, 2020 Kyle Rittenhouse, then seventeen years old, traveled from his residence in Illinois with an assault riffle to join to protests and riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin following the shooting of unarmed black man, Jacob Blake. Rittenhouse shot three men, killing two and injuring a third. For the last several weeks the world has watched Rittenhouse's highly publicized trial. On Friday, November 19, 2021 a jury found Rittenhouse not guilty. The Slate of Affairs team sits down to discuss.

I love listening to Slate of affairs during my long commute home after work. I find myself sitting there smiling during traffic hour when people are usually in full mode road rage. Well not this proud Tía! Yup I said it.
