Are women to be silent in the church?
While there is a lot to consider regarding 1 Cor. 14:34, the end conclusion to this podcast regarding the rationale for men to be elders and overseers (not women) is not supported by Scripture in but instead chooses a weak stance that it is because men are to take the bullet if the church is threatened.
There is a weightier argument for the role of men to be elders and pastors in the church based on Scripture such as Genesis 1&2, 1 Timothy 2:14, and Eph 5. These Scriptures reveal God’s plan before sin which made Adam accountable before God with woman designed as helpmate. After the Fall, the man and woman relationship should reflect Christ and the Church synonymous with the husband and wife relationship reflecting the leader laying down his all for his Bride and the Bride joyfully and honorably submitting.
