IDK, my BFF Kane
Absurd. Chucklesome. Highly entertaining. Pretty gay. I kind of hate podcasts but I’ll listen to this one and actually finish an entire episode in one sitting, so that has to say something, right? Kane’s a good pancake (David seems much cooler, though).
Great podcast!
I was on it!
Transcendently Fills ‘Some Kinda’ Void
It’s not like there are too many podcasts about transgender parenting — my search yielded one other — but even if there were, the Some Kinda Parent Podcast is worth a listen. It includes a supportive grandparent (David) and his transgender daughter (Kane), who is also a mom. Their conversations have that unique blend of humor, sweetness and self-awareness needed for great parenting. I also enjoy hearing about Kane’s adventures in Nebraska, where she moved to from the San Francisco Bay Area after her transition. To this lifelong Californian, The Cornhusker State seems rather an exotic place. (Maybe it’s no coincidence that she moved there, however, as the official state motto is “Equality Before the Law”?) Yet despite the major changes life has thrown their way, Kane and David don’t take themselves too seriously, and together they are filling a void in the podcast-iverse.
