Ep. 296 - With Kraken Organist Benny Drawbars IN STUDIO!
For an offseason episode during a period of almost zero Seattle Kraken news, this one may go down in the books as one of the all-time greats.
Kraken organist Benny Drawbars joins John, Curtis, and Darren in BarrDown Studios, and he comes well equipped with musical instruments that get put to good use.
The guys also do a little Kraken talk, interview Benny about all things organ playing, and hit segments like Weekly One-Timers, Goalie Gear Corner, and Tweets of the Week.

Ep. 295 - Pocket Pack Upgrade - Featuring Oscar Fisker Mølgaard
The Seattle Kraken news machine is starting to slow down, but there were plenty of odds and ends to tie up on the Sound Of Hockey Podcast this week.
To start the show, John gives Darren a very thoughtful gift.
Then, the guys drift to Kraken news for quite a while, before hitting their interview with forward prospect Oscar Fisker Mølgaard. The promising and affable Dane returns for his second appearance on the show, and he does not disappoint.
Plus, Weekly One-Timers and Goalie Gear Corner.

Ep. 293.5 - EMERGENCY POD! Big Kraken free agency day, NHL Draft reactions
The Seattle Kraken have had a busy few days, drafting eight new prospects over the weekend and then signing two players, Brandon Montour and Chandler Stephenson, to huge contracts on Monday.
John, Curtis, and Darren got together to give their reactions to these many moves.
While this isn't the standard format for a Sound Of Hockey Podcast, the guys wanted to get this information out while it's fresh, then return for a full episode later in the week.

With the Stanley Cup awarded to the Florida Panthers and the Coachella Valley Firebirds having lost in the Calder Cup Finals in devastating fashion, the offseason is OFFICIALLY here.

The final rounds of playoff hockey at both the NHL and AHL levels have gotten quite interesting, with the Coachella Valley Firebirds snagging a 2-1 lead over the Hershey Bears and the Edmonton Oilers staying alive and forcing Game 6 against the Florida Panthers.

Best Hockey Podcast There is Period!
Love everything about Sound of Hockey. The personalities, the hockey talk and of course, Goalie Corner. We live in San Diego and there is nothing like driving to the rink, or to a tournament, and listening to the latest musings of our guys who are the best in the business of not only giving great informational and happenings around the Kraken and the hockey world, but also adding the humor and fun along with it.
I have been listening for a few years now and a quick story to help sun it all up. My mother passed away in Arizona in 2020 and on the drive to and from to see my father I listened to every podcast from the start of its beginning to where I currently was. In a time of sorrow it really helped put a smile on my face and made a long 12 hours in the car go by quick. I will forever be grateful for this podcast and will continue to be an avid listener.
I grew up in the Seattle area, played some professional baseball and have been in Southern California for over 30 years now, but you bring a little bit of home to me every week. Stick taps for Andy and keep up the good work boys. Go Kraken!
A+ Pod
Long-time listener who is finally leaving a review! As a newer hockey fan, I appreciate all of the insights provided. As a podcast fan, I love the dynamic between Darren, John, and Curtis. Primarily leaving this review to say at the end of the the last episode (295) there was a huge missed opportunity for Darren to sing “Life Is a Highway”
Stick taps for Andy 🦑❤️

I've been hooked on Sound of Hockey since around episode 20. The hosts blend sharp hockey insights with humor that’s more entertaining than Buoy driving a Zamboni. Their witty banter and laugh-out-loud moments always make my day.
From debating the best arena food to recounting hockey moments you don't see every day, these guys know how to keep things lively. Their sound effects are so spot-on! If you need a good laugh and love hockey, this podcast is a total hat trick. Puck yeah, it's awesome!
