SPRO AND LEE TAKE ON THE ACADEMY is a podcast born from the countless articles where people say- ”This person/film got snubbed for an Academy Award!” without telling the reader/listener-- who stole that person’s spot? If only five people/films are nominated, and someone who snubbed, that must mean someone didn’t deserve the nomination! OBVIOUSLY, nobody wants to be negative in their snub campaign, but Spro and Lee are here to be just that. Two mediocre negative nancies that will do the research to say who didn’t deserve their recognition, and who should be applauded!

Two friends having fun
As an introvert I LOVE listening to conversations but not participating in them. This scratches that itch for me. These two friends are passionate about movies and it’s a joy to listen and laugh with them!
Great takes on great films
Amazing to listen to - very entertaining and enlightening. One of my favorites :)
Knowledgeable, prepared, and occasionally funny
Intelligent and sometimes silly look at some of Oscar history’s biggest boners. Hosts are knowledgeable, prepared, and even occasionally funny. Apparently they’re old high school friends. Anyway, they do their homework and put on a good show. Best episodes are often the ones with guests, though.
