Christine continues our Easter series unpacking St. Peter's mission statement, focusing on a liberation that originates in the perfect love of God that casts out fear.

Last Sunday, we had the honor of hosting the Rev. Sam Owen, priest-in-charge of the Haitian Episcopal Church of the Good Samaritan. He shared the story of the New York Haiti Project, a beautiful expression of love, liberation and life embodied in the midst of the political and social chaos and violence happening in Haiti. 

As we unpack the mission statement of the Jesus Movement Lisha explores love as our central command and theme. Are we willing to take the risk? 

Who is God calling the Church to be in the world? In a time of turmoil, anxiety, division and confusion, we need a north star. Christine shared the mission statement of the Episcopal Church of which St. Peter's is a part, reminding us that we are part of the Jesus movement, the ongoing community community of people who center their lives on Jesus and follow him into loving, liberating, life-giving relationship with God, others and our world.
