In 2016, survivalist and world traveler Justin Alexander goes missing in the Parvati Valley while on a spiritual trek into the Himalayan Mountains. While the circumstances of his disappearance point to murder, a chilling message he left behind throws everything into question: “I should return mid-September or so. If I’m not back by then, don’t look for me.” Four years later, host and true crime newcomer Liam Luxon is introduced to Justin's story and embarks on an investigation into the mysterious case. "Status-Untraced" is a 10-episode journey that explores the secrets the Valley holds, the stones left unturned, and what really happened to Justin Alexander.

Can’t Stop Listenig
Payne does such an amazing job overall in the podcast. He keeps me on edge with every single episode. Honestly, he inspires me to become an investigative journalist myself. Especially with seasons 1 and 3; justice for all of these women, and shout out to Payne for consistently pushing to get the truth out of these people.
Yet another celebration of poor decisions
What sort of father takes his 14 year old son out to do hard drugs so they have knowledge of using? Guy never stood a chance. Please stop making shows about rich, white people who make poor decisions. This ain’t mysterious or worth the accolades given the man
Lots of good work for a bad story
I literally cannot understand how utterly dense the host is. He seems very intelligent. He does some fair critical thinking here and there. But by the end of episode 1 I had this story pinned to the dang wall. “White boy survivalist with daddy issues runs away to India, does drugs, and gets himself killed by mixing with the wrong people.” I could see that junk from a mile away. And theGuys like Justin aren’t complicated, they’re addicts. Regardless of the substance (drugs, money, girls, or adventure) all addicts are all the same: keenly self aware and unable to stop themselves from using. Unless they put their money where there mouth is and get help, most of their stories end the same too.
And yet, at every turn, the host acts like he’s utterly flabbergasted by what happened to Justin. Dude, read a book.
