Steve Templeton: Fear of a Microbial Planet

The Dan Astin-Gregory Podcast

We have witnessed tremendous politicisation of science and medicine in the past two years, throwing out some old paradigms and adopting new ones to drive certain narratives. It seems that we live in a 'culture of safetyism’ which encourages much of this behaviour.

In this episode, we are joined by Steve Templeton, Associate Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at Indiana University School of Medicine, to explore whether the emergent safety culture leaves us exposed to greater fragility?  Steve specialises in experimental models of immunology of infectious disease and is the author of his Fear of a Microbial Planet blog and a forthcoming book of the same title.
