First Focus wanted to set a precedent for mindset across the company and especially within management to allow for scaling. To do this, they developed a hard copy book that contained their values, processes, and stories from staff. Hiam led the team through a series of workshops to develop and curate copy and illustrations, which reflect the core aspects of the company. They were able to use this both internally, now running their own training based on chapters from the book, and for business development including recruitment and acquisition of other companies.

Ingleburn RSL was struggling with employee retention. The long-term and more senior staff felt they were accommodating for younger casual staff who didn't have the same level of investment and commitment to the club. 

Getting the cultural setting right was also important for the wider vision of the club including a planned redevelopment. The Culture Equation  ran a Culture Program to develop a set of shared values, a purpose statement and a range of initiatives that embedded new behaviours across the organisation leading to a reconnection of people to their intrinsic motivators to show up and give their best consistently.. The result is a much more supportive and engaged environment, a unified team, and an improved service to patrons.

WSU went through a huge cultural transformation from a historically hierarchical structure with little flexibility and lacking protocol for safe feedback. Hiam worked with the team to develop a set of values, trust and collaboration, constructive feedback processes, and establish a sense of equality within the organisation. This was achieved through an offsite with the management team in addition to a series of workshops. The result was a drastically improved workplace environment, a flattening of the hierarchy, and an ability to provide more streamlined and personalised service to the students.
