Yoro is a Red, Casemiro hangs on, full-backs needed
Dale and Brian dig deeper into the pre-season action.
From Manchester United's 2-0 win over Rangers to Erik ten Hag's 29-man squad travelling to the United States, we've got it covered on the latest instalment of the Strettycast.
Leny Yoro is a Red and Casemiro is likely to remain at the club, despite being linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League.
Dale asks Brian if he'd sacrifice Scott McTominay if it meant signing a new midfielder to address our problems in front of the defence...
The lads also answer your questions.
Thank you for your continued support of the Strettycast. It's appreciated!

New structure, transfer approach, naming rights
Dale and Brian are joined by Shaun from Theatre of Red to discuss Manchester United's transfer approach this summer.
Ineos plan to make more changes at the club and we will likely see a new approach to transfers and identifying targets.
The lads feel strongly about buying players of the right profile and they are not necessarily ready-made stars. Perhaps United need to step away from targeting marque signings to focus on talent determined to be successful.
It helps that Dan Ashworth has finally arrived as sporting director.
Meanwhile, Matthijs de Ligt has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United and Fulham lead the race to sign Scott McTominay.
We also look at the prospect of Manchester United selling the naming rights to Old Trafford.

202: Don’t you dare compare Bellingham to McTominay | with Jay Motty
Jay Motty from Stretford Paddock joins Dale and Brian for the first episode of the summer.
Motty has been a friend of Stretty News from back when we started in 2010. It was great to catch up with him, hear how things are getting on at Stretford Paddock and get his thoughts on all things Manchester United.
It was our first recording since the news broke that Erik ten Hag will remain as United manager. For now anyway...

FA Cup winners, end-of-season review, Ten Hag future
Dale and Brian get together to reflect on an incredible performance in the 2-1 FA Cup final win over Man City.
Where was that tactical masterclass all season? Could it be that the injury line is more than an excuse? Does the FA Cup triumph save Erik ten Hag? These are all questions Manchester United fans are asking themselves this week.
Episode 201 includes discussion and analysis from the game and our feelings on United's end-of-season review.
Thank you for your continued support.

FA Cup final preview - Reds face Cheats at Wembley, Bruno Fernandes' last game?
So, here it is, the FA Cup final preview with Dale and Brian.
It's been a disappointing season as Manchester United finish eighth in the Premier League and fail in Europe. Somehow we've a chance to salvage something with an FA Cup final against Man City on Saturday.
Dale and Brian discuss Manchester United documentaries following the release of '99' on Amazon Prime.
Feelings are shared ahead of a mammoth task at Wembley.
Moreover, this week's listener question pose further questions ahead of the final.

Gunners shoot down wounded Reds
On this week’s episode of the Strettycast we analyse the 1-0 defeat to Arsenal, plus Barmy Article editor Andy Slator joins us to talk about the women’s team winning the FA Cup over the weekend.
Title-chasing Arsenal edged past United at Old Trafford on Sunday as Erik ten Hag’s side fell to their 14th league defeat of the season. There is a growing acceptance that United have not got the players to compete in these fixtures, but that doesn’t make the 4-0 defeat against Crystal Palace any better.
Casemiro is attracting more criticism with every game he plays at centre-back. It’s only getting worse but his days at Old Trafford are numbered.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe was at Old Trafford for the game to carry out a matchday survey. This somehow led to criticism for the co-owner, who had plenty to say to an Old Trafford employee ahead of the game. He would not have been impressed to see the roof leaking again.
David Moyes or Marc Skinner
Although the women’s team made history by winning the club’s first-ever major trophy, Marc Skinner isn’t very popular among fans after performances dropped from a cliff after an impressive 2022/23 campaign.
The jury appears to be out on Skinner even after winning the FA Cup final. We also discuss the revisionism about former manager Casey Stoney.
Slator also spoke to us about a memorable day out at Wembley with United beating Tottenham 4-0. Avram Glazer was in attendance, but not Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

Customer Reviews
What’s the deal with the 1 Star Reviews??
Seems unnecessary
I enjoy these pods
I always enjoy hearing different viewpoints and opinions on United. This certainly will be one of my favorite pods to listen to throughout the season. The coverage is amazing and hope more interviews come out!
