During this season of Lent, anticipating the Resurrection Sunday celebrations of Easter, we consider the weight of the name Lamb of God. With connections back to the Old Testament, the Passover, and the Jewish sacrificial system, we see how this name not just identifies Jesus as the Messiah, but how the sacrifice on the cross on Good Friday is Good News for us all.
