Coastal Community Church is located in Grover Beach California and serves the 5 Cities community and San Luis Obispo County.

Sermons are preached by Rev. Andy Rock and Rev. Paul Dugan.

Hope, Trust, and Restoration are the pillars of our vision. We have hope beyond our brokenness and take practical steps to grow in our faith, to pursue healing, and recover from life’s injuries. We trust in our risen savior, Jesus Christ, to meet us in our brokenness and deliver us from our sins. We want to bring restoration for our community through the love and grace of Jesus Christ. This is accomplished by meeting practical needs in the everyday lives of the people around us.

It’s our desire to provide a place where people can ask questions about who Jesus is, learn what it looks like to walk in faith, and find connections with other people along the same journey.

Join us online each week on Sunday morning at 9am for our weekly live stream. We also have two in-person services at 9am and 10:40am in our sanctuary.

Coastal Community Church is located at 1830 Farroll Road, Grover Beach, CA 93420.

The Nitty-Gritty of Relationships | Colossians 3:18-24 | Pastor Andy Rock

The Nitty-Gritty of Relationships | Colossians 3:18-24 | Pastor Andy Rock

Let’s talk about the nitty gritty of our relationships - our desire for control, to be loved or to earn love, our need to determine outcomes. We’ll see how the root of these strategies is an issue of belief, first and foremost. We’ll discover practical tools to overcome false beliefs and bad habits, and choose Jesus, His way, His truth, and His life instead, so that our relationships with God, with ourselves, and with others can be full of life.

Choosing Our Destiny | Colossians 3:12-17 | Colossians 3:12-17 | Pastor Kurt Pflegl

Whatever contradicts God’s Word about us is a lie, whether it be our circumstances, other people, or our own thoughts and feelings. They can seem so real to us because they’re always in front of us. Thankfulness helps us see who God is, and what He says about us, beyond the lies screaming in our faces. Prayers of thankfulness, interconnected with prayers of exchange, are great weapons God gives us as His chosen ones. Practicing them helps us choose our destiny in each moment. The result is harmony, first with God, then within ourselves, and with those around us.

Make a Choice | Colossians 3:2-11 | Pastor Andy Rock

When Jesus enters our hearts, He becomes our first love, guiding us through life's ups and downs. We no longer rely on anger or power to cope; we turn to prayer, worship, and His wisdom. Walking with Jesus means being mindful of our thoughts, knowing we can accept or reject them, and they no longer bind us. By serving others with love, we bring God's light into the world, no matter how broken we've been. Faith isn't about perfection; it's about keeping your heart focused on Jesus and embracing His love and forgiveness. This is what brings true purpose and fulfillment.

Why Legalism Fails | Colossians 2:16-3:1 | Pastor Andy Rock

Why Legalism Fails | Colossians 2:16-3:1 | Pastor Andy Rock

The Good News is this: even though you're more broken than you may want to admit, you're also more loved than you could ever imagine. Jesus has claimed you as His own, just as you are, with all your flaws and imperfections. He is with you in every moment, whether you realize it or not, guiding you with compassion and patience. You don't have to walk this path alone. Set your hearts on Him, and trust that He has a plan for you. Invite Him into your daily life, and ask for His guidance in each step you take.

I Trust Jesus | Colossians 2:9-14 | Pastor Andy Rock

I Trust Jesus | Colossians 2:9-14 | Pastor Andy Rock

Jesus chose you AND the agony of the cross at the exact same time. He gladly chose to give up His life so we could have life. We are the people who Jesus, the Prince of Peace, kisses, and claims as His own in order to heal, give a new heart, and resurrect into a new life. We are not responsible for saving or transforming our own hearts, but we are responsible to surrender our hearts to Jesus and trust only in Him.
