Tonja Lesmeister ( Traveling With A Purpose, Choosing to World School vs Public School, Creating Space to Reset)

Tonja Lesmeister ( Traveling With A Purpose, Choosing to World School vs Public School, Creating Space to Reset)

Tonja Lesmeister is a Social Worker by training but has gone on to be a powerful advocate of serving marginalized groups and doing her part to stand up against social injustice.  The Rainbow Tree team was to be headed to Jamaica with her Traveling With A Purpose mission team but due to COVID19, that trip was canceled.  Tonja shares her story and decision of pulling her youngest child out of the public school system.  Though the timing of this episode is coincidental in nature in relation to the death of George Floyd, perhaps it is the perfect timing to begin to understand the depth and seriousness of racism in this country.  Thank you for listening and thank you Tonja.

Michelle Paulisich, Mom, Friend, Speech/Language Pathologist

This is another important episode.  Michelle's shares not only her professional wisdom but also her personal story of supporting her daughter through the storm of anxiety.  Michelle speaks honestly of the struggle and her journey of seeking support from friends and professionals.   Again, my intention with the podcasts to speak to the mantra that we are not along in our struggles.  Michelle offered that anyone with questions about the episode can reach out to her directly.  Please email rainbowtreeinfo@gmail.com for her contact information.  Thank you for listening!
