Sustainable (and Joyful) Energy Exchanges with Other People Practical Shamanism

    • Spirituality

Healthy, successful energy exchange with other people is a complicated topic with many factors.  In this episode, I look at the choice to give to others in some way.  Sometimes this comes from a soul level of love of contribution to loved ones or the world at large.  Other times, it’s a survival/safety strategy of people pleasing.  It can also be driven by an inefficient strategy for being liked or receiving desired support in your own life.  And, all these factors can be present at once.  Overgiving is draining and often unsustainable, no matter how noble the intention.  Therefore, understanding a thoughtful, present approach to when and how you say “yes” to others is a powerful service to healthy, sustainable relationships both to oneself and to the key people in your life.
