HIIIII BESTIES :) In this episode, my buddy and business partner, Antoine, finally meets me in person for my birthday surprise, and wow, did we dive deep. From Tragedy to Triumph: The Inspiring Story of K.D. Hill

From Tragedy to Triumph: The Inspiring Story of K.D. Hill

"Storms are meant to show you things you never knew you had inside of you."

Hiiiii besties! Welcome back! Welcome back this week we are joined by KD Hill.a former football player for Ole Miss who has an incredible story to share. K. D. started for three years in a row and even wore the prestigious number 38 and the Chucky Mullins award. His journey in athletics has been nothing short of remarkable, with achievements in high school, over 30 college offers, and opportunities with professional teams like the XFL's Orlando Guardians, New York Jets, and Buffalo Bills.

Unfortunately, K. D.'s life took a tragic turn with a car accident that led to the amputation of his leg. But instead of letting it defeat him, he found a new path in motivational speaking and writing. Currently, he's working on a book that dives into his life-changing experience and the incredible power of perseverance and faith.

In this episode, I was blown away by K. D.'s resilience and positivity. Despite the challenges he’s faced, K. D.'s unwavering faith in God was his guiding light through recovery. We talked about the mental strength it takes to overcome such obstacles and how challenges can transform us for the better. Our conversation really highlighted the theme of using adversity as a catalyst for growth and finding our true purpose in life. It was such an inspiring discussion, and I'm so grateful to K. D. for sharing his story with us. Enjoy :)

Sports, Style, and Second Chances w Ryan Doran + MEET MY BROTHER

Hiiiiii bestiessss, when I was back home I sat down with my amazing brother, Ryan Doran, for one of the most heartfelt chats on Tana Talks. Let me tell you, Ryan's story is insane, and we only barely touched the surface. I have always prided myself on this being a community for creatives on their journey & i'm so honored my brother chose this to be the platform he began his creative journey. I know this story of redemption is gonna resonate with every single one of you.

We went deep, diving into Ryan's insane knowledge of the latest fashion trends, his all-consuming love for movies and sports, and how these passions have been his rock—even through the toughest times, like when he was in prison. We talked about his life as a dad, his cultural insights, and how he's gearing up to tap into the creative world. This conversation? It's all about the laughs, the warmth, and those golden nuggets of wisdom that'll show you just how transformative and powerful a second chance can be.

Join me, and my brother for an episode  that's overflowing with sibling love, resilience, and some serious heart-to-heart moments. It's a story that's going to hit you right in the feels with life lessons and a whole lot of laughter. Don't miss out on this one, bestiessss—and remember, there's always more inspiring stories coming your way in future episodes!

Hiiiii besties! Welcome back! Happpppppyyyy New Yearrr! I'm back in Georgia and I have a special treat for you. Over the next few weeks, I'll be introducing you to some of the incredible people in my life. And we're starting with none other than my amazing mom, MA DUKES!

I'm usually very private about my family, but they mean the world to me. It just didn't feel right to keep them from you. This particular chat was incredibly healing for me, and I hope it brings you joy too. (Trigger Warning: We touch on Eating Disorders from 31:07-32:26).

This week, my mom joins me to talk about her experience as a caregiver for Sittu, who has Alzheimer's disease. We dive into the challenges of caregiving, the importance of open communication in families, and the need for support and resources for caregivers. We also chat about how she copes with my absence and how thrilled she is that I'm not doing stand-up anymore (lol).
