Kamala Harris weighs her choices for vice president.

Kamala Harris weighs her choices for vice president.

Kamala Harris’s pick for vice president. Four days after President Joe Biden announced he was dropping his reelection bid, Vice President Kamala Harris has reportedly secured the support of enough Democratic delegates to become the party’s presumptive presidential nominee. Harris is now weighing her options for running mate and will likely make her selection within the next two weeks. Democrats have said that they will finalize their ticket by August 7 to meet the earliest state ballot requirement in Ohio, although that deadline may not be legally binding.

A breakdown of the Republican National Convention.

A breakdown of the Republican National Convention.

The Republican National Convention (RNC). Last week, Republicans convened in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to nominate their presidential and vice presidential candidates for the 2024 election. The four-day event featured speeches from the party’s most prominent figures as well as celebrities, political commentators, and activists. Former President Donald Trump, who survived an assassination attempt two days before the event began, was in attendance for much of the week and addressed the convention on Thursday in his first major speech since the attempt on his life.

SPECIAL EDITION: 24 thoughts on Joe Biden dropping out.

SPECIAL EDITION: 24 thoughts on Joe Biden dropping out.

Joe Biden. On Sunday, President Joe Biden announced he is dropping his reelection campaign and endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris to replace him on the ticket. Biden, until now the presumptive Democratic nominee, leaves the race later in the election cycle than any sitting president in U.S. history. His exit sets the stage for an intense rush to unite the Democratic Party around a new candidate before the August nominating convention in Chicago.

INTERVIEW: Isaac talks with former Secret Service agent Bill Gage

INTERVIEW: Isaac talks with former Secret Service agent Bill Gage

In the wake of the assassination attempt on former president Donald Trump. There've been a lot of questions, namely questions about the security and the Secret Service at this Butler, Pennsylvania event.
How could something like this happen? How could a 20 year old kid get onto a roof just a few hundred feet away from the former president and get several clean shots, several clean attempts, at his life? Today, we're sitting down with former Secret Service agent Bill Gage to talk about what happened at this Butler, Pennsylvania event, what the failures were of the Secret Service and the security for the event, and what should happen to the director of the Secret Service, whom Bill actually used to work alongside.
Today's interview is part of a larger deep dive we are doing on the Secret Service. If you're interested in learning more, you can go to ReadTangle.com and read our latest piece, which looks into the history and the infrastructure of the Secret Service, as well as some analysis of the assassination attempt on Donald Trump and where the service failed.
Hope you all enjoy the interview.

Don’t stress great pod

Nice work! Heard the worry and just wanted to say I’m a fairly new listener, heard you on Ravi’s pod. Great job. Not that you care what a random listener’s opinion is but speak your logical conclusions. Watch for feedback but don’t let it rule you. Also producer (John?) might need one more coffee before he reads the news stories, just a kind suggestion :)

Best Balanced News Podcast Available

This is the top balanced news podcast available in terms of quality, relevance, and accessibility. Always the first news podcast I listen to before anything else. And the intro music is the bomb…you have to hear it to know what I mean. It actually makes me dance.

Soxfanindan ,

Ok

They do a good job giving both sides but clearly he is left when giving his take. Hard to listen when you can’t debate. Update. This is a not non partisan. They do tell you what the right is saying but his take is always left. If you are on the left you will enjoy this podcast if not don’t waste your time.
