Highbrow Thought, Middlebrow Sensibility
I’ve been a listener since nearly day one, and I can genuinely say this is one of the few pods in my feed to elicit an instant-listen when a new episode drops. One section of the “Teutonia World” media empire, this podcast covers any number of topics: Primarily the woes of the Milwaukee Bucks, but also basketball in a wider sense, jersey and logo design history/theory, engaging discussion of film, and plenty more besides. The occasional solo pod is delivered with pleasant candor. Group pods, which happen pretty often with a wide range of guests and also a recurring bunch of the host’s personal friends, have figured out the just right chemistry to make them a conversation and not a…podcast, if that makes sense.
Its easy to listen to, will often make you think in ways you hadn’t considered, and even the stuff I’m normally not invested in (read: movies) are worth tuning in for. Highly recommended.
This podcast is annoying
...but I love it
