Great Podcast...But....
Love the content and the banter between co- hosts. As a former resident of NWI I appreciate hearing the news of the area.
That said, there are a few things that bother me about this podcast. I loathe how it sounds like its being recorded in a bathroom with bad acoustics. Another sticking point is please, please , please stop saying "tomorrow", "yesterday", " tonight". These words have no meaning when a broadcast is not live. Please use specific days of the week and dates. Love the content but my last complaint is the paper rustling , please please take 10 min and make notes prior to recording and list dates and points to mention. Cut down on the obvious rustling of the newspaper durring the taping.
I want to like it
I really do enjoy listening about local news, politics, and entertainment. Your subject matter and approach is excellent. The delivery is awful. I literally have to turn the podcast down when Joe laughs at his own jokes. It is loud, unprofessional, and obnoxious.
I understand that all of you are new to the podcast world, and are working with limited resources. However, the title of your podcast is “That’s so Region, Times of Northwest Indiana.” The Times is in the podcast title, and should reflect the newspaper’s caliber to some degree. I personally regard the Times as one of the best Indiana newspapers. With all of that said, I would hope the hosts would want to match that caliber. Instead, you have chosen to make excuses for easily correctable issues. A prime example is the new Lake Central High School podcast, “Double J,” which is very well done. It is a professional sounding podcast, despite being produced by high school students. So I would suggest to either step up your game to at least match the high school students or change your title to “Three People in a Closet Next to a Broken Printer.”
