Ep. 119, Maxim Krivenko, Director, NewRun

Ep. 119, Maxim Krivenko, Director, NewRun

In this week's episode of The Aid Station, presented by njuko, we have have a series first - a second conversation with the same guest.  In December, we travelled to Poltava in Ukraine to meet Maxim Krivenko, Director, NewRun. Obviously a huge amount in the country has changed since then and we took the opportunity to hear first-hand from Maxim about the situation and the impact on the Mass Participation industry.  Maxim and most of his team are still in Poltava, central Ukraine, where some of them are helping receive refugees from across the country whilst others have escaped to other parts of Europe.   He shares how the industry has completely shut down but that in Poltava people are still able to occasionally get out and run albeit with the risk of an air raid. There is an amazing air of positivity and determination in the conversation with Maxim and his translator Ekaterina.  They are determined, once this is over, to get back to putting on their label races and bringing the running community back together at events. "We have become very united and everyone helps out in any way that they can".  #MassParticipationWorld #MassParticipation #MassSports #TheAidStation #GlobalUpdates #Ukraine
