Jupiter Transits in Houses: Live Chart Reading Workshop

Jupiter Transits in Houses: Live Chart Reading Workshop

In episode 452 astrologer Chris Brennan hosts a live chart reading session with listeners exploring how Jupiter’s transit through Taurus manifested in their lives based on the house it activated in their birth charts.

The premise of the discussion is that since Jupiter just recently completed its one year transit through Taurus, I asked listeners to send in stories about how that transit played out in their lives, especially in terms of which of the twelve houses it went through in their chart.

This was recorded as a live webinar with patrons of The Astrology Podcast, and during the course of the webinar a number of patrons joined me on video to share their birth chart and talk about their Jupiter transit experience.

I also read a number of written listener submissions different astrologers who shared their experiences of positive and negative events that coincided with that transit.

The purpose of this workshop is that by looking at what Jupiter transits have meant when they went through different houses for people over the past year, you can then take that information and project it out into the future as you try to anticipate what the transit of Jupiter in Gemini will mean for you over the next year.

    Quick Birth Chart Transit Readings

    Quick Birth Chart Transit Readings

In episode 451 Chris Brennan does a live birth chart reading session with patrons of the podcast where he looks at their charts and discusses how recent transits have impacted their lives.

This was an impromptu livestream done with patrons of The Astrology Podcast who signed up for the livestream tier through our page on Patreon.

Before the livestream I put out a call asking for people who had a good example of one of the transits we talked about in the recent forecast episodes, such as the eclipses in Aries and Libra, the Mars-Saturn conjunction in Pisces, or the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction in Taurus.

Then during the course of the livestream people people joined me on camera and shared their stories of recent transits, and we talked about their charts and lives for 5-10 minutes each.

This ended up being a really fun and interesting session, and it set a nice template for other chart reading sessions in the future.

    Astrology Forecast for June 2024

    Astrology Forecast for June 2024

In episode 450 astrologers Chris Brennan and Austin Coppock discuss the June 2024 astrology forecast, covering major transits like a stellium of planets moving through Gemini, Jupiter trine Pluto, Venus cazimi, Mars square Pluto, and Saturn stationing with Neptune.

In June a stellium of 4 planets transit through Gemini in the first half of the month, and Jupiter trines Pluto in Aquarius, which should expand and accelerate technological developments related to communications, artificial intelligence, and travel.

Venus plunges into the heart of the Sun around the same time early in the month, which marks the end of one synodic cycle for Venus and the beginning of another, marking a new epoch for relationships, equality, and the position of women in society in general.

Mars moves into Taurus mid-month, where it immediately forms a tense square with Pluto in Aquarius, raising issues related to the use and abuse of power, going overboard to achieve one’s ends, and dealing with dangers.

Late in the month Saturn slows down and stations retrograde in Pisces while conjoining Neptune, which will on the one hand in Pisces intensify ongoing themes surrounding dangers and fears that arise in connection with water, while with Neptune we will an intensification of the blurring between what is real versus what is not and the struggle to distinguish between the two.

The lunations this month are a new Moon in Gemini on June 6, followed by a full Moon in Capricorn on June 21.

    Jean-Baptiste Morin’s Astrology

    Jean-Baptiste Morin’s Astrology

Penelope Sitter joins the show to talk about the life and work of the 17th century astrologer Jean-Baptiste Morin de Villefranche, and her new translation of his work.

Morin was an astrologer from France who lived around the same time as William Lilly, and he wrote a massive tome on astrology titled Astrologia Gallica, which means French Astrology.

Penelope just translated book 21 of Morin’s work from Latin, which is the most important book of Astrologia Gallica, where he outlines his unique approach to chart synthesis.

Penelope became so excited about Morin’s work after being exposed to it in the 2000’s through the work of Robert Corre that she actually learned Latin specifically in order to translate Morin’s text.

During the course of the episode we talk about Morin’s life and work, and then we also get into his techniques and discuss what makes his approach interesting and different when compared to some of his contemporaries.

Along the way we talk about his birth chart and personality, and use his chart a few times to demonstrate his technical approach, which he does several times in his work.

It ended up being a fascinating discussion, introducing an important but often overlooked astrologer who was the last great court astrologer in France before the decline of astrology in the 17th century.

Prophecy and Power, with Patrick Curry and Nicholas Campion

Prophecy and Power, with Patrick Curry and Nicholas Campion

In episode 447 historians Patrick Curry and Nicholas Campion join me to discuss the recent republication of Patrick’s groundbreaking book Prophecy and Power: Astrology in Early Modern England, which documents the rise and fall of astrology in the 17th century.

Originally published in 1989, the book offers a detailed analysis of the role and perception of astrology in 17th-century England, a period that saw both the peak and the subsequent decline of astrology in the public sphere.

Patrick shares insights from his PhD research at University College London, which formed the basis of his book. He discussed the socio-political dynamics of the era, particularly how the English Civil War influenced astrological practices and the lives of astrologers like William Lilly.

Nicholas Campion, known for his comprehensive two-volume “A History of Western Astrology,” contributed to the conversation by discussing the academic and historical context in which Patrick’s book was first published and its impact on the field.

We also delved into the broader implications of the historical treatment of astrology, discussing how historical narratives have shifted from outright dismissal of astrology to a more nuanced understanding of its role in historical contexts.

Both Patrick and Nick emphasize the importance of viewing astrology through the lens of the cultural and political milieu of its time, rather than simply through modern scientific critiques.

The episode also touches on the challenges faced by astrologers during politically turbulent times, and how part of what contributed to the decline of astrology in the 17th century was that it became associated with political views that fell out of favor.

Patrick’s book was recently republished by the Sophia Centre Press, and you can order it here:

Antisemitic Astrologer

Chris blocked me and many other Jews for saying that the Pro-Palestine protests are not peaceful and are antisemitic. This is after I’ve paid him for courses, Patreon, etc.

He also regularly deletes comments and misinformation that he spreads. 90% of the time, the person is either Jewish or a woman.

I first confronted the host of The Astrology Podcast, Chris Brennan, about the misinformation he was spreading this fall.

Included in his response was that he's well informed because he has a Jewish girlfriend, aka "I can't be racist. I have a Jewish friend."

Rather than listening and learning, he decided he knew better.

All Chris Brennan would have had to say is, "Oh, didn't realize some of these protesters were getting out of hand, my bad." But instead, he chose to double down.

By blocking me, it's CRYSTAL CLEAR that Chris feels that attacking innocent college students who simply want to go to class and wear a Star of David is acceptable.

I suspect the main reason Chris Brennan, host of The Astrology Podcast, has an issue with calling out antisemitism and telling the truth about the protests is that he's being largely sponsored by an antisemitic Jew, Chani Nicholas.

It's all about the money and influence.

Chani Nicholas has repeatedly used social issues to build her brand rather than focusing on astrology and THE TRUTH.

She stands with Hamas rather than the innocent people being held by Hamas.

Yes, Jews can be antisemitic. I'm done with people tokenizing Jews to prove their point.

Number 1 Astrology Podcast

Chris Brennan is a remarkable astrologer with an uncanny depth of knowledge, delivering with astounding attention to detail and profound clarity. I literally cannot wait for every episode. This podcast is always on in my car. A particular favorite guest was the supremely eloquent Britten LaRue. Thank you Britten for refraining from using the typical filler words "you know" and "like" after every other word in your speech. I would love to hear more from her coming up on the feed.
