The Ballin Podcast is a collection of all encompassing, yet intimate, interviews covering everything from topics of entertainment to the Hip-Hop culture. Hosts LayLaw, who gained fame alongside “Gangsta Rap” originators N.W.A., and Go Mack, one-fourth of veteran Pomona, California collective, Above the Law [RIP KMG], are both architects responsible for contributing to the construction of West Coast rap music having first begun back in the late ‘80’s and early ‘90’s.Coining now well known descriptive terms such as "G-Funk," "Ballin" and "Ranchin," as well as lending their respective hand(s) to the infamous Southern Cali hybrid sound, these two musical brothers have an unmatched family oriented kinship sharing legendary memories, anecdotes and personal stories surrounding relationships that they’ve continuously built and managed to maintain throughout an over three-plus decade tenure in the grueling business of entertainment.Each and every episodic adventure of The Ballin' Podcast serves to reconstruct history from the actual major players who have fully participated since its entire creation and inception, in order to reveal exclusive content that only this pioneering duo and their elite special guests could even begin to validate.

THE D.O.C. (Episode 1)
The D.O.C. collaborated with gangsta rap group N.W.A–where he co-wrote many of their releases–as well as Eazy-E's solo debut album Eazy-Duz-It. He was one of the founders of Death Row Records along with Dr. Dre and Suge Knight.
In 1989, he released his debut album, No One Can Do It Better, which reached number-one on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart for two weeks and spawned two number one hits on the Hot Rap Songs chart: "It's Funky Enough" and "The D.O.C. & The Doctor". The album went platinum five years after its release. In late 1989, months after the release of No One Can Do It Better, The D.O.C. suffered a serious car crash that resulted in the crushing of his larynx, permanently changing his voice.
After the crash that changed the direction of his musical career D.O.C. experienced a depressing period in his life. It wasn't until he began dating Erykah Badu that he was able to find direction and guidance in his life again--all thanks given to Erykah Badu. Their relationship resulted in the birth of his daughter Puma and a friendship and spiritual bond between Erykah Badu and himself that still stands to this day.
The D.O.C. is still considered one of the greatest MCs of all time, his album garnered the coveted 5 mic award and Dr. Dre still relies on D.O.C for. musical input. It is safe to say D.O.C. is still Ballin. Tune in to the Ballin Podcast to get the full scoop.

G Funk originals puttin it down again!
Finally, some ogees from the west puttin it down and spittin some real. Man, this podcast is a breath of fresh air. Laylaw, Go Mack and Above the Law was always known for lacin their raps with game. I look forward to listening whenever they are on.
