Great Insights
Hey Lantz,
Outstanding advice and insights on everything pitching that is not "how to", except that it is "HOW TO"! Right On!
Great points on keeping players on focus and attacking the number 1 task, getting outs.
The idea of asking questions and giving players the space to answer certainly gives pitchers ownership of their craft.
Thank you for Coach Johnson's 3 rules and more importantly making me evaluatet on my approach. Further, thank you for pushing the status quo and making me rethink what I do (which laughingly could be dangerous). But, I think you nailed it with the idea that as coaches or instructors we try to make it seem complicated when in truth simple is the rule.
