Don’t Call it a Comeback. The insidious, racist nature of Ebonics and how it never really left

After the Oakland Unified Schools debacle, in the 90s, many thought Ebonics was extinct. However, as we have seen in the U.S., if something can keep people down, we really can’t quit it. This is a frank discussion on the difference between language and slang.

Stolen Fully Furnished. Miko Peled talks about the ongoing assault on Palestinians by Israel.

Activist, author, speaker and friend of the show, Miko Peled (https://www.patreon.com/mikopeled) Joins us to discuss the ongoing land grab and slaughter of Palestinians by Israel. The so-called ceasefire made the American media go to sleep, not the IDF. He details the illegal arrests and the bulldozing of Palestinian homes inside the State of Israel as well as bombing Gaza and stolen homes in the West Bank. Is Israel a true democracy or merely another Mideast theocracy, not unlike Saudi Arabia, proving yet again that we can’t reform apartheid? Peled is a renowned activist for Palestinian rights and the author of the General’s Son and Injustice: The Story of the Holy Land Foundation Five.

Are There Options? Sema Hernandez talks about real third parties vs. charlatans.

Are There Options? Sema Hernandez talks about real third parties vs. charlatans.

Two time Texas Senate candidate, and friend of the show, Sema Hernandez joins us to discuss the reality of ballot access and viable alternatives to the one party system. Spoiler alert: I sound like a crazy person. Ms. Hernandez has run for the Texas Democratic nomination for the Senate in 2018 and 2020. In 2018, she garnered nearly 300,000 votes on a budget of $4,000 against Robert “Beto” Francis O’Rourke. His budget was over $4 million, barely doubling the votes Hernandez received. The 2020 race was an even bigger corporate grease fire as the DNC rounded up 11 candidates to crowd the field before confused voters settled on MJ Hegar. She went on to lose to Ted Cruz. Good Times…

No Accidents in Imperialism. A frank discussion on another failure of U.S. adventurism.

No Accidents in Imperialism. A frank discussion on another failure of U.S. adventurism.

Adrian Boutureira (https://rb.gy/gij2bo) joins us to discuss the epic failure of the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan from the beginning. It was never intended to fight freedom. We also get into the U.S. interventionist past and its attachment of lying us into it. Name a country, since 1950 the U.S. has made better? The U.S. will take theocratic fascists over benevolent socialists every day if it means 2 more points on the stock market. Adrian Boutureira Sansberro has an extensive history of activism in Central and South America, as well as the U.S. He was instrumental in Jill Stein’s Green Party presidential campaign in 2016. You will love this if thinking is your thing.

Great podcast

What do you get when you cross Joe Rogan and Jimmy Dore? I have no idea, but this guy reminds me a little bit of both of them but with his own take. Very knowledgeable on many topics, great topics, and great guests. A fresh voice. Worth your time.
