Be Like The 2 Not The 10
On Sunday, April 28th, Pastor Dennis gives a powerful message called "Be Like The 2 Not The 10."
As we look at the story of the 12 Israelite spies going into the Promised Land in Numbers 13, we see how the negative report of 10 spies overshadowed the positive report of the 2 (Caleb and Joshua). What report are we choosing to partner with where we live, work, learn, and play? Are we believing what the Lord has already told us or are we leaning on our own understanding? -
Small Hinges Move Big Doors
On Sunday, April 21st, Pastor Dennis Lamar gives a brand new message entitled "Small Hinges Move Big Doors."
As we look at the life and calling of Gideon in the book of Judges we can see how God purposed him to be a leader and deliverer of his fellow Israelites--even when he felt unqualified to do the job. We can also be encouraged that no matter how small or insignificant we may view ourselves, our belief in God's promises and obedience to his word can move a big God to open big doors! -
Children of God
On Sunday, April 14th, Pastor Dennis gives us a message on truly being the "Children of God."
The Apostle John lets us know that the children of God no longer make a practice of living a life of sin. God can not only help us find the areas where sin needs to be exposed, but he can also help us highlight the areas in our lives where we are practicing good habits. What good habits are you practicing in your life where you live, work, learn, and play? -
What Time Is It?
On Sunday, April 7th, Pastor Dennis gives a message entitled "What Time Is It?"
The wisdom of scripture reminds us that there's a time for everything under the sun. If we don't identify the right time for a season that we're in, we can find ourselves in a whole lot of trouble. King David's story serves as an urgent reminder for us to assess and prayerfully consider, 'What time is it?' -
Rehearsing the Resurrection
On Sunday, March 31st, Pastor Dennis delivers a powerful message on Resurrection Sunday.
We rehearse conversations, fights, situations, and so many ordinary things in our lives. Over and over again. What would it look like for our minds to be renewed by rehearsing the Resurrection of Christ? What good is a resurrection that we don't think about or do anything with? How would the hope level in our hearts and in the world around us be affected if we consistently rehearsed Jesus's triumphant resurrection? -
Sacrificial Love Week 7
On Sunday, March 24th, Pastor Dennis delivers the seventh installment of the Sacrificial Love series on Palm Sunday.
Jesus goes into town knowing that His death is coming. And as he rides in on a donkey, the town — for all their different agendas — is shouting "Hosanna!" "Glory in the highest!" These would be the same people who would shout "Crucify Him!" in just a few days. Yet Jesus goes in and embraces his assignment. What would it look like for us to put aside all of our agendas and have a whole week of Hosannas to the Lord?
