Great show
Good perspectives, Sonny is a great host!

Great conversations and the conversation on early Cage was fantastic!
Enjoyable interview with Whit Stillman but would have preferred to hear more about making the movie, casting and a deeper dive into the culture surrounding the Sally Fowler Brat Pack. It briefly touched on elite culture and then we were off to the bulk of the interview all about film profitability.
That we can keep learning more about movies? Mr. Bunch’s curiosity is far-reaching.
Really interesting episode! Lots of history very well done!
Always find Sonny’s deep dives into the movie business to be informative and analytical. He brings a certain gravitas to the program that makes me take his opinions seriously (if not literally?). Keep up the good work!
Started listening to this to escape non-stop politics and now am hooked. Love the discussion and have learned a lot!
I started listening to Sonny Bunch as a part of the Bulwark substack. Now I find myself listening to the pod each time a new one drops. I’ve learned more about the behind-the-scenes movies than I thought I’d even be interested in learning. It’s made me a more informed movie-viewer and, more importantly, brought home to me the importance of seeing movies at a Movie Theater to get the full effect of the experience. Movies are made to be seen in theaters. Got me going back to theaters.
Sonny’s interviewing style has developed to a point now where nobody can dispute he is one of the very best. I just now listened to his discussion with Ken Auletta, and there are no flaws in this discussion. Perfectly done. I learned so much.
FYI, I wrote this on my own without encouragement. Sonny has no clue who I am. Just found his website through the intercession of 2 goofy priests.
Hopefully he will never grow tired of what he’s doing!
What a thorough slacker
