Episode 9: It’s Been A Long Time… with Manny Coto

Join hosts Brian Volk-Weiss and Mary Jo & John Tenuto as they take a deep dive into episode 9 of the documentary series where they discuss Enterprise and more with writer, director and producer Manny Coto! Plagued by fledgling UPN’s underperformance, Enterprise’s premise (a prequel about the Federation’s founding) was undercut by the decision to make the third season a reaction to 9/11. Lackluster ratings meant Captain Archer and his crew would only get four seasons.

Solid Interviews But

These are solid interviews and some really excellent insights, but as a fan of modern Star Trek, I could do without the nigh constant snide comments against modern shows like Discovery and Picard. Otherwise, solid podcast.

Chris in Long Island ,

great show. when i can hear it.

such a fun and interesting show. but as a NYer who is on the subway and walking around the city, this is a hard show to hear. Wish it was recorded a bit louder.

QUNewsGuy ,

Great show except for the host

This show is super informative outside of Brian Volk Weiss interrupting every single story. Now I see why they have to edit his documentaries the way they do… he doesn’t let people finish their thoughts.
