The New York Mets earn the four game split with a 7-6 win over the Cubs in 11 innings.  Cubs host Brewers at Wrigley at 2:20.
Tigers and White Sox had Thursday off.  Detroit is at the Yankees tonight at 7:05, 6:40 pregame on WSJM.  White Sox visit St. Louis at 8:15.
NBA Playoffs, Pacers eliminate Milwaukee in 6 games with a 12-98 win.   Knicks eliminate Philadelphia also in  games 118-115.  Pacers and Knicks meet in round 2.
NHL Playoffs, Toronto forces game 7 with Boston after 2-1 win.

Minnesota increases winning streak to 10 games, 7 straight over the White Sox with a 10-5 win in Chicago.   Sox are off today
Cubs blank the Mets 1-0.  Cubs and Mets close out 4 game series today at 1:10.
Boston advances to 2nd round of NBA playoffs after beating Miami.  Dallas takes a 3-2 series lead over the Clippers. 
In the NHL, Dallas wins game 5 3-2, also leads the series by that same 3-2 score.  Edmonton wins series with LA in 5, after winning 4-3.
Illinois Governor says no to Bears stadium plans.

Tigers earn the split of their doubleheader with St. Louis after Cards win the opener 2-1,  Tigers take the 2nd game 11-6.  Cardinals and Tigers meet again today at 1:10, 12:45 pregame on WSJM.
Cubs fall to the Mets 4-2.   Meet again tonight at 7:10.
Twins with 9th straight with 6-5 win over White Sox.   Sox and Twins meet again at 2:10 this afternoon.

White Sox win streak snapped by Twins, Minnesota wins their 8th straight.

Miryssa Nelson of Coloma Softball is our WSJM Sports Player of the WeekColoma went 4-0 for the week with a sweep of Fennville 15-0, and 16-1,  Then the Comets swept Parchment 13-3 and 13-7.

Miryssa was the starting pitcher in both of the opening game wins.  Against Fennville she allowed 1 hit and struck out 6 and against Parchment, she allowed 6 hits and had 2 earned runs while striking out 3.

At the plate in the leadoff position, she's batted .750 for the week with 7 singles, 2 doubles, 4 walks, scored 8 times and had 5 rbi and stole two bases.

She has a .621 batting average this season.

Miryssa is currently a senior at Coloma high school and has a 3.9 GPA.  She also plays volleyball and basketball.
