    Zach Smith's First PGA Tour Start

    So excited to have my friend Zach Smith back on to talk about his first PGA Tour start at the Puerto Rico Open! Zach shot 63 to win the Monday Qualifier and gives us a real look at what it's really like out there on the big tour! Zach also finished 5th at the Big Money Classic back in January and breaks down what he has done to have such a successful year thus far.

    Zach is currently on the Mackenzie Tour (PGA Tour Canada) and lives in Scottsdale, AZ. Zach and I were teammates at UC Santa Barbara where he was 3 time First Team All Big-West and qualified for the NCAA Championship as an individual. After graduating, Zach immediately finished 2nd at the 2019 Arizona Open, followed by winning the 2020 Scottsdale Arizona Open!

    Matt is a pro golfer based out of Orange County, with his most recent achievement being qualifying for the Shriners Hospital Open PGA Tour event after shooting 63 in the Monday Qualifier.

    Matt played his college golf at Cal State Fullerton where he had a very solid career, capping it off his senior year averaging under par and winning the Big West Individual Championship.

    Matt details his experience playing in his first PGA Tour event and what he was able to learn about himself and from playing alongside the pros. We discuss his breakout senior year and how he was able to transition into pro golf. He breaks down the main things he works on in his game and how focuses on the long term to stay consistent.

    I am very excited to have my friend Joe Fryer on today’s episode!
    Joe played his college golf at Long Beach State University where had a very solid career, capturing 3 wins and earning First Team All-Conference honors twice. In 2018, Joe won the Southern California Amateur Championship, joining the likes of Tiger Woods, Patrick Cantlay, and many more. Joe turned pro after graduating last year and lives in Arizona playing tournaments all along the west coast.
    Joe breaks down life as a pro golfer and how he focuses on the big picture to keep improving everyday. He details how he was able to stay so consistent in college and how that is translating into pro golf. We also discuss his win at the So Cal Am and what he learned in his experience there.

    I am very excited to have my great friend Nam Padung on today! Nam is a swing coach who has coached all over from Augusta to Bangkok! Nam and I coached together at the Nike Camps at Pebble Beach and he has all the secret sauce to help get you better! 
    He is an expert in biomechanics and breaks down how important it is in today’s game with guys like Bryson going all in on it.
    Nam details his journey of being recruited to the IMG academy from Thailand as a junior golfer and working alongside David Leadbetter as a player and a coach.
    Nam gives some great insight on what makes great players great and how you can break through in your game
    Nam is also great friends with the legendary George Gankas and fills us in on what it has been like to learn from and work alongside him
