The Crossover: Tibor Pleiss
The final guest on The Crossover in 2021/22 is EuroLeague winner Tibor Pleiss!
The German talks us through how supportive his parents were when he was chasing his basketball dream as a youngster and how a move outside of his native country to Baskonia was an important turning point for him.
Pleiss explains how his short stint in the NBA was the most frustrating time of his career before Ergin Ataman gave him the opportunity to return to Europe with Galatasaray in 2016.
He recounts the disappointment of a EuroLeague near miss in 2019 with Anadolu Efes and the elation of winning the competition in his home town Cologne two years later.
Pleiss then describes the crucial and breathtaking moments that led up to Efes winning a second consecutive EuroLeague title in Belgrade just a few weeks ago.
Plus, can he snatch victory away from our current leaders in the final Crossover Test of the series?

We need more of theses!!!!
Great Pod!!! Joe takes ya into the lives of Euroleague players and coaches that in America aren’t usually covered. Would love to hear more about the season going on in the EL, but I guess Joe has to be impartial being a announcer for them.
I have been a fan of Euro hoops since the 80's, probably the only American to be one. lol I remember Joe playing for Caserta with my boy Oscar Schmidt back in the day. I think Big Joe does a great job with the interviews and gets a lot of good info out. Thanks for the pod.
This is a great interview to share with any basketball player up and coming who wants to learn about basketball and the moments and “curve” balls that come your way.
Great interview Joe in mother tongue!!
Coach Blatt is an incredible figure!
