Daily thoughts, principles, and insights, for your Daily life, on your Daily drive to become all that you are meant to be.
Stop Shoulding On Yourself
In this episode we'll take a look at a the very common practice of "shoulding on ourselves" and how it unknowingly takes power away from us and others, and instead fills us and others with feelings of shame and not being good enough. Not only can these types of thoughts affect us mentally, but studies have shown a connection between these types of thoughts and a loss of physical power as well. The answer to these powerless thoughts is found in a single empowering word, and has become one of my most favorite words that I use.
Win The Morning
In this episode we'll look at the most important part of the day, the morning. Just like a sprint can be won or lost in the first few seconds and from the way a sprinter starts the race, the day can be won or lost in the first few minutes and hours and from how we start the day. If we want to win the day, we must win the morning.
The Heartache of Betrayal and Other Life Altering Moments
In this episode, we'll take a look at some of the most painful moments we can experience in life. Many of which involve betrayal by those we loved, trusted and thought were on our side. Life is anything but fair, but there's also moments where it's fair to say life doesn't seem like it can be anything either. These are the moments where what we once knew is over, and it doesn't seem like things can ever be made right. That's what and who this episode is for.
In this episode we'll look a little more closely at the power of decision and choice, through the concept of "switch points." Each persons life is, by and large, the sum total of the little decisions that they have made, even more so than the large ones. If the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, then there maybe no more important step to take that the first one you decide to make, that is until you take the next one, and then the next one...because each step although small, will either lead you closer to your desired destination or further away.
In this episode we'll explore the very common practice of self sabotage. Why it happens, how to recognize it, and what to do about it. Self sabotaging behaviors happen on a subconscious level and often are the result of traumatic events in our lives, from which we have learned unhealthy coping behaviors that once the traumatic event is over, we continue to allow play out in our lives. Mindfulness and connecting with God, and sometimes professional help will help to identify these patterns and help you heal and correct them so you can move forward in your life in big ways. We all have limiting behaviors that we must overcome to reach new levels of success and fulfillment in life.
To Mothers (Mothers Day edition)
The greatest tribute I can pay to Mothers everywhere is how closely they embody the life and mission of the Savior in all that they do, day in and day out in each of our lives. After all how many times have you been saved, fed, comforted, healed, helped, supported, or had something cleaned or found by Mom...to me Mom and Christ are synonymous.
Happy Mothers Day Mom!
Uplifts, Inspires and Motivates
Josh’s podcast are a delight to listen to. He takes serious life challenges that can seem overwhelmingly hard, and makes them seem not so hard. He has a way of making things seem more doable and leaves you feeling like life is not so hard and, it’s meant to be enjoyed. I really appreciate how he uses real life experience and worldly things, but always ties it together with a spiritual concept. Great listen for the whole family, they won’t even realize that they are being taught until it’s to late. Thank you for sharing your light.
