APAC's Position in the Global Sports Tech Scene, with Ben Turner
In this latest episode, we’re focusing on the intersection of sport and technology with Ben Turner, Head of Sports Partnerships APAC at SportRadar.
When we look at leagues and governing bodies, often they’re hesitant to trial a new technology, focusing on simply operating the competition they are administrating - safe from the ire of passionate fans.
There’s a prize to be won for those bold enough to invest the time and resources into innovation. In this episode we talk about why it's worth it, strategies to innovate and why getting their fans involved from the start is key.
Show highlights:
How to connect with fans outside your core market
Why sports with an innovation and growth mindset lead the pack
The importance of failing fast with new technology to unlock success

Why Investing in Women’s Sport is Good Business, with Caroline Fitzgerald
We’ve reached the final episode of our Women’s World Cup mini-series, and what better way to wrap it all up than with the founder and CEO of GOALS, Caroline Fitzgerald.
Caroline has always held a passion for women’s sports which stemmed from her own experience growing up. She’s always been on the lookout for a way to contribute to creating a more equitable sports world.
Currently, women's sports receive less than 4% of media coverage and less than 1% of sponsorship dollars, so Caroline set off to change that. She launched GOALS in 2020 to bring more investment into women's sports, and show brands, networks, and investors that it’s good business to be in the business of women’s sports.
In this chat we cover:
The business case for investing in women’s sport
