Studies estimated that between 4 to 6 %.  In terms of real numbers meaning that an estimated 1 in 20 criminal cases result in a wrongful conviction.  With almost two million people in our jails and prisons that mean TENS OF THOUSANDS INCARCERATED PEOPLE WERE WRONGFULLY CONVICTED.
Texas alone led the nation with 363 exonerations in the last 30 years
The National Registry of Exonerations keeps records of over 2000 cases across the country that ended in exoneration for the defendant found that three crimes are most commonly involved in exoneration cases

Fifteen people  and growing  in KY  have spent more than 200 years imprisoned for crimes we did not commit, but we still have not received a dime from the Commonwealth of Kentucky. These miscarriages of justice have taken years off our lives that we can never get back. The least the state could do is compensate us for these losses. As a tax paying citizen, I’m deeply frustrated at how much time and energy, and my own money, I’ve had to spend fighting for what  the justice system did to me. 




 
4.1% of people currently on death row are likely to be innocent according to the National Academy of Science
 
Four out of 100 people on death row who were sentenced to death are inncoent. ONLY TWO OF THOSE ARE EXONERATED.

We will continue to ask the questions and by the way, they are getting harder to ask the longer Kit Martin is imprisoned.  He didn't commit these crimes.  He is 100% Innocent, and we will not stop until he is free.

IMPORTANT CORRECTION:  James Matlock did not testify that he saw a man in a yellow shirt and blue jeans walking his dogs.  Only that he saw the man himself.  The dogs were with Kit Martin when he was checking out a car on the farm one day.  We stand corrected on this matter.  Emilio Corsetti is back on the FKMP to discuss an odd thing that happened when visiting Pembroke, KY recently.  He ran into a witness from the trial!
Do you remember James Matlock's testimony?  The man who came forward over 4 years after the crime, but conveniently 4 months before the trial.
Is it truthful testimony? Well decide for yourself.  
Why was James Matlock encouraged to testify? Could YOU remember exactlywhen and where you saw a certain man over 4 years ago?
This man with public arrest records longer than a green mile testifying that heremembered Kit Martin scoping out the Rosetown Road area.  Someone that Kit has never met?   Hmmmm!
