Just listened to the podcast with Ryan. First of all, great interview! Hearing first hand from Ryan about what happened and how challenging the first weeks and months were after his freak accident is gut wrenching. I’ll never forget the call my husband received from the AD at Miami saying one of our WSU athletes was injured in a freak accident. The athletes are like our own kids and it was devastating news. I loved hearing in this interview how the team, coaches, community, and of course Ryan’s family rallied around him. The love he has for his family and his family for him is something we all can only hope and pray we have with our own families. Ryan is inspirational in the way he is living his life not feeling sorry for himself and not wanting to be pitied. This was the first time I heard the quote from his teammate saying “Ryan is the same - he just sits down all the time.” And I personally laughed out loud when Ryan said everything that could go wrong did go wrong on the NCAA trip because I was there and I remember what happened. And when the coaches pushed him to practice because the bus broke down I knew Ryan was one special human - who we all just wanted to be around - even if we did not know what to say or how to act. Ryan’s parents are also my idols because as parents we want only the best for our kids. Their strength is amazing too- But Ryan gives them - and all of us for that matter - strength because of his grace in the way he handles the hand he has been dealt. Ryan I know what your future is- it is in sports broadcasting! You are bright, articulate, funny, good looking and down to earth. I will be your agent! 😏💚💛

With an interest in a lot of different podcasts, it’s hard to work other ones into the mix - however as a college basketball & nba fan this podcast is undoubtedly in my regular rotation now!
