Ep. 26 Stay In Your Own Lane, Sis

In this episode of The Good God Girl Podcast, Bria M. Carey explores the art of minding your own business- yes, that's right! In today's society, it's easy to get caught up in other people's lives, constantly comparing ourselves, our journey and progress (or lack thereof) to others and worrying about what they're doing. But the truth is, focusing on other people's path only distracts us from our own.

In this episode, we'll discuss why it's crucial to stay in our own lane and the benefits that come with minding our own business. We'll explore the concept of comparison and how it can lead to negative self-talk and low self-esteem, and share practical tips and strategies for staying in your own lane.

So, if you're tired of feeling overwhelmed by the constant comparison game and want to work towards overcoming the spirit of comparison, , tune in!

Ep 24 For the Girls That Get It ft. Shamaria Jordan

The girls that get it- get it, and my guest, GETS IT! For the final Good God Girl Podcast episode of 2022, I invite my good friend, educator, mentor and founder of Black Girl Advocate and the Nonprofit for Black Girls, to get allllll the way real about her journey to mentorship. This call ain't for the weak, and Shamaria shares her struggles and successes of growing in her personal relationship with Christ, accepting her calling at a young age, starting a social movement through a clothing brand, and creating safe spaces for young Black girls.

Shamaria Jordan is a disciple of Jesus! She is a mentor and educator, and at the young age of 24, completed her undergraduate degree in youth studies and Masters degree in education. She is so very passionate about all youth, but especially Black girls! She loves to see them feel safe and comfortable in all spaces, and flourish into the best versions of theirselves.
