It's Not About Getting The Gig... But Here's How I Get All of Mine
There's a wholesome way to get meaningful, fulfilling gigs. I'm talking about the best kinds of gigs. The ones you're so excited about you'd go to even if you weren't playing. The best part is there is no networking, sitting in, or jams sessions involved.
If you enjoyed this episode definitely listen to the Trumpet Mafia episode for ideas on group practice and Ep. 80 for help connecting with potential mentors. -

I downloaded apple podcasts to leave this review. As a young and gigging musician who didn’t go to music school, this podcast has provided so many signposts along my own unique path and facilitated invaluable reflection and introspection. And it didn’t even hurt!!! Heartfelt, genuine, helpful, with enough room to include the vast variety of humans that musicians are, Tanner makes the idea of even self-identifying as a musician easier. This pod gently and firmly reminds me I am human, AND that I have to work to build the habits I want. And it pushes me to develop ways to deepen that intentionality on a daily basis. 5 freakin stars
Great podcast!
