You've probably heard about the new Threads App, a text-based platform linked to Instagram. You might be wondering if you should join Threads. Today I’m sharing about the pros and cons of being on this platform and what it can do for your brand and business. The question of whether Threads is a distraction or an essential tool for your social media strategy will also be addressed.
Like any new app, Threads is constantly evolving, so staying updated on any improvements and changes is crucial. On the basis of my experience and expertise in Instagram, I'll share my own thoughts and suggestions. The thing about Threads is that it's a numbers game. You don't have to be a genius to join, but you do have to think strategically. Don't worry, I'll share tips and tricks on how to grow your Threads account.
In order to get a better understanding of Threads, let's start by reviewing the key facts. Instagram's parent company, Meta, launched this app to improve some aspects of the Instagram experience. There is an interesting feature in Threads that prompts users to follow suggested accounts, including those they already follow on Instagram. You can easily gain followers and increase your reach by doing this.


MONEY HIT: Three ways to use threads.
1. Instead of relying solely on text, include eye-catching photos, videos, and graphics in your posts. Your content will stand out and reinforce your message, attracting more attention and engagement.
2. Engage your audience: Threads encourage conversations. Take part in discussions, respond to comments, and ask thought-provoking questions to engage your audience. You can build connections with your audience by showcasing your personality as a business owner while focusing on niche-specific content.


3. On Threads, you can share punchy and witty thoughts without additional context or long captions. Take advantage of this feature to say a few words, observe reactions, and potentially engage in a conversation.

Let's talk about how alcohol affects individuals and society and some resources to help you overcome addiction. I think it's an important topic as many people struggle with alcohol abuse. I know it’s possible to recover. The first thing you need is to develop a relationship with God to beat alcohol addiction. Having Christ as our partner will give us guidance and support. 


It's also important to find a mentor or therapist. Help from a professional can make a big difference, and it's safe to ask for support. My depression and heavy drinking led me to seek counseling after college. I got a lot of help from a counselor with a Christ-centered perspective.


Additionally, I found that joining a supportive group was invaluable. Participating in a Bible study or a church group provides guidance, encouragement, and accountability. We need to surround ourselves with people who can bring us upliftment. I was lucky that I was given permission from the courts to spend time with my church group in addition to AA. During that as I was able to deepen my connection to the Lord and I think made me the person I am today. 


I'm grateful for God's help in overcoming my alcohol addiction and becoming a better mother. Addressing the negative culture of "mommy drinking" is a priority for me. We must reconsider our relationship with alcohol and find healthier coping mechanisms and sources of fun. My journey towards enjoy life without relying on alcohol is ongoing but with Jesus as my partner I know that I can have success over this disease.

Here's my journey to freedom from alcohol. It's been a year and a half since I started the Hey Emmy Show, and one of my very first episodes was about this. Sadly, the recording got deleted, but maybe it was a good thing because it was a long episode.
There are a lot of people out there struggling with alcoholism, feeling trapped and lacking freedom. We're supposed to live in abundance and freedom, not misery and bondage. Alcohol seems fun and refreshing at first, but it has more negatives than positives. In sharing my story with you, I am not condemning or judging anyone, but I am shedding light on an issue that must be addressed. Many people struggle with alcoholism, either personally or in their relationships. 
Over the last year and a half, I've been trying to find the best way to share my story. I don't want to gossip or dwell on the negative stuff. I want to tell you the truth, though. I made some mistakes, like getting a DUI but have since found freedom. My journey with alcohol hasn't always been easy, and there have been ups and downs. I have found that true freedom is found when we live in alignment with our original design. In order to be free, we must make choices that align with our true selves. Freedom comes with responsibility.
Finding freedom requires repentance. It's about turning 180 degrees and choosing a different path, not just saying sorry. There are no strings attached when God gives us the chance to turn our lives around. Despite setbacks, we can always turn back to the path of true freedom.
Throughout my alcohol journey, I've gone through periods of abstinence, but I don't like to identify as "sober" because it seems to limit. Let me encourage you to seek freedom in all areas of your life and to experience the joy that comes from living your purpose.
It's time to talk about the challenges, the lessons learned, and the journey to true freedom. Let's embrace the freedom waiting for us together.

Our lives can throw us unexpected challenges, disrupting even the best-laid plans. Uncertainty really tests our faith. Reflecting on past experiences, I realized how easily our carefully crafted plans could go awry. We might have chosen a different path if we'd known about this hard time beforehand. It's always 20/20 in hindsight.
I never imagined myself becoming an entrepreneur growing up in a family of educators. Life had other plans for me. I learned that sometimes the unexpected can open doors we didn't know existed. Faith is important in these moments.
Hebrews 11:1 (NIV): Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV): Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Having faith doesn't mean life will be easy. I'd say the opposite is true. Faith gives you peace and strength in unexpected times. When unexpected obstacles happen, it's easy to wonder why they weren't part of our plan. Faith reminds us that things will get better and that the best is yet to come.
Faith is a verb. We have to take action and trust in God's guidance. We're told to walk by faith, not by sight in 2 Corinthians 5:7. It means we're willing to keep moving forward even if we don't see the whole picture. Faith is based on personal conversations with God. During tough times, it gives us resilience.
Whenever life takes an unexpected turn, hold on to faith. Trust in the One who holds our future. With faith, we can overcome any challenge and keep moving. When we walk with God anything is possible.
