Mamphela Ramphele | Nelson Mandela Was Like a Father to Me (#33‪)‬ The Investment Turnaround

In this podcast Dr. Ramphele reminds us that freeing the planet from the negative influence of human civilizations such as destructive CO2 emissions and overpopulation, means freeing ourselves from the bondage of disempowering beliefs about ourselves as individuals. She insisted that in order to free the South African people from the white oppression means also freeing herself from the oppression she felt as a woman in a male-dominated society. It was this train of thought that Nelson Mandela appreciated very much in his regular conversations with Mamphela prior to his release from prison. He had wanted to know more about the Black Consciousness Movement and how the society had evolved during his 27 years in prison. It is in this spirit that the Investment Turnaround must occur: We must first transform our inner attitude toward the role of money and make room so that the outer Investment Turnaround can occur.
