In this episode, I interview medicine woman and shamanic practitioner Marilu Shinn on her journey with plant medicine and how it has deepened her relationship with her ancestral line. This interview provides a beautiful education on the proper use and appreciation for the medicine and where it comes from.
Marilu is a medicine woman that carries ancestral medicine that comes from her ancestors from Mexico, Peru, and South America. She enforces that this medicine is deeply connected to the cycles and rhythms of the earth and to symbiotic/reciprocal, mindset of harmony/balance and right relationship. She expresses that in this society, we come from a mindset of competition and pushing and we forget that when we are in the right relationship and when we trust the flow/intelligence of life, we are provided for to feel balanced and harmonious.
In Marilu's words, "We have to shift our perception and let go of the idea we are competing with each other and come from a place of trust and flow and learn to know the spirit that lives in the medicine in ways that feel authentic and like a prayer."
