Chris Bell - Filmmaking My Way

Chris Bell - Filmmaking My Way

Chris Bell is a documentary filmmaker who’s extensive directorial list includes; “Bigger, Stronger, Faster,” “A leaf of Faith,” and “Prescription Thugs” to name a few.
I like his Wiki entry which summarizes his plight quite well:
“His work is focused on the impact that society has on our consumption and addictions, especially to prescription drugs. Chris provides great insight on the ways that American culture forms our decision making. He continues to be an outspoken advocate for those suffering from addiction and their families.”
When the opportunity to interview Chris presented itself, the first thing that came to mind was the fact that he’s one of the most talented filmmakers I know, yet he’s not at all like other filmmakers.
The man goes against the grain in many ways. He seemingly lives life by his own rules in the quest to challenge the status quo. Thankfully for us, we get to see his path of enlightenment unfold throughout his film anthology. No industry or corporate contamination.
In this episode of “The Liver Show” Chris gives me the inside scoop on his recent plant journey experience!
    We also get into:
How Chris used Ibogaine to rid himself of pain and addictionThe logistics of making a short film about a 3 day Ibogaine tripThe potential benefits of Ibogaine and other plant medicines long termIf you want to be healthy, probably don’t do what other people are doing.Meat shortage amidst the COVID crisis and the opportunity this presents for regenerative agriculture and ethically raised livestock. How Chris cuts through the red tape of film industry. Chris’ training updates and daily walksHow to gain notoriety as a filmmaker using social mediaBuilding muscle might be harder on a Carnivore dietImportance of not being dogmatic with your dietAdvice for filmmakers on set who might want to make better nutrition choices. Chris Bell's Instagram

3 Ways I’m Staying Creative During COVID

3 Ways I’m Staying Creative During COVID

Can you manufacture creativity? The answer for me (and I suspect you) is YES!
When I sit my ass down and commit to putting in work - that’s when the creative juices flow.
No, it doesn’t come immediately and yeah, it’s excruciating and I want every moment of the experience to end with the sweet brain silencing fix of an instagram binge… BUT, that’s the resistance talking and you must SQUASH it.
In this episode of “The Liver Show” I talk about:
How inspiration AIN’T shit. It’s about putting in the work. Why it’s so important for me to flex my distraction squashing muscle on a daily basisThe 3 way’s I’m staying CREATIVE during the Covid lockdownHow you can apply my formula for staying creative yourself Short Term Creative goal: (mine is IG Stories). Mid Term Creative goal: (mine is the short film I’m shooting this month) Long Term Creative goal:  (mine is bodybuilding)

William Shewfelt - Covid Renaissance Man

William Shewfelt - Covid Renaissance Man

William is a fellow goal setter and a deeply self-motivated person.
Rather than the usual “just do it” platitude that many self-development gurus preach, William has an ability to put forward a strategic game plan as to how he lives his best life.
Don’t know how to live your best life? That’s OK, take AIM and start moving in any direction.
William has a knack for taking aim towards his goals, but also revising them and shifting direction entirely. No need to marry yourself to a singular focus and stay there forever.
Adapt, and you’ll be UNTOUCHABLE in the face of any adversity.
In this episode William and I go over:
Why he’s not too bothered by the Covid crisisHow he sets laser like targets on his goalsThe importance of tweaking goals when neededThe pros and cons to identifying with a singular discipline. His mission, and how, if you know yours, you can do whatever the hell you want.
