Interview with Christina Elizabeth Smith (Amrta‪)‬ The Living Artist

    • Arts

In this episode of The Living Artist, Preston talks with Los Angeles based artist and actress Christina Elizabeth Smith, aka Amrta. In this super fun and deep conversation, Christina shares her (destined to be made into a movie) origin story that goes from being a military child, through conquering the dancing world as teenager, into her acting and fine art journey in Los Angeles, where she has worked on many noteworthy shows such as NCIS: New Orleans, The Young and The Restless, Days of Our Lives, Paradise Lost, Grey's Anatomy, and more, working alongside Geena Davis, Alan Ruck, and Scott Bakula, to name a few. She shares with Preston many acting anecdotes, talks about her relationship with ShockBoxx gallery, her love of Kintsugi and how it relates to her artwork, her Buddhist practice, the importance of spirituality in her life and work, sharing her passion and personal story with the world, and yes, her dogs! TRIGGER WARNING: Christina does share a very intense traumatic event that happened in her life near the end of the interview, which may not be for the faint of heart. It is however a very important story in her life, journey and art, and something that she hopes will help open a dialogue that can help future survivors and change a system that has sadly failed so many. Buckle up for this wonderful and insightful conversation with Amrta!
