Just in case you've been wondering what happened to us.

We'd like to thank all our listeners, guests, and those of you who supported either financially or by sharing episodes of Mainstreet with your friends. Most of all, thank you for listening!  Steve and I have enjoyed our conversations with the people of Harford County ... and beyond. What began, essentially, as a way to occupy ourselves during the early days of the pandemic gradually became a regular part of our lives for more than three years.

Our original goal was to do 100 episodes. We finish with 125 -- not a bad run.  We might at some point resume the podcast. That possiblity always exists.  Even if that doesn't happen, however, we'd just like everyone to know how much we appreciate you taking the time listen to our conversations over the past three years!

Another Great Episode Covering the Spectrum

I just finished listening to Episode 18 and it was another informative and entertaining interview from Lee and Steve. I have listened to each episode and am sometimes surprised by the connections on a personal level. When Lee mentioned listening to jazz on The Harley Show on WBAL radio in Baltimore, I was surprised to learn that there were others from my generation and younger that listened to the program in the 60s and 70s. Then, when drummer Jamie Miller mentioned playing music with an old family friend and local musician, Rob Baier (Kanye Twitty, Rob Baier Band, Faded Image) back in school, I was surprised again. There's always something relatable, and sometimes on an unexpected level. Keep up the good work guys. I think you're improving as you continue creating new episodes. Finally, if Lee decides to borrow his sister's grandson to go to "The Spectrum", let me know. I'll see if I can make it. Sounds like fun! - Sir Charles the Great, Lord, Master, and Most Gracious Benefactor to the Serfs and Peasants of the Fiefdoms of Nottingham and Perry Hall, Navigator of Sub-atomic Realms, Resident Conspiracy Theorist, and Disrupter-at-Large. (Pop-Pop for short form.) "We all know that light travels faster than sound. That's why certain people appear bright until you hear them speak.” ― Albert Einstein (You guys don't qualify, but I love the quote.)

I learn something new in every episode

Lee and Steve are enthusiastic students and fans of our little piece of Maryland and it shines in every interview. Who cares about “famous people” when there are fascinating local people (past and present) to learn about?

Hometown Stories

After agreeing to being interviewed I took time to listen to all the mainstreet episodes. So nice hearing stories of different folks throughout the Harford County community. Also the ones of those that started out here before moving afar and how growing up in the area influenced their lives. Learning a lot! Feel like I’m sitting at a local coffee shop catching up with friends on what’s happening in town! Great work guys! Keep it up!
