The new season of The Mighty Peculiar continues with possibly its most wide ranging episode yet.
First up Denver holds a fireside insurrection by reading the texts from Utah Senator Mike Lee (who is almost certainly not a sewer rat wearing human skin).
Then the guys enter the nightmarish world of The Hat Man - which causes them to wonder why something as common as sleep paralysis can be so wildly misinterpreted that it leads people to taking potentially lethal doses of allergy medicine in order to fight a fictional being?
Finally, Matt puts Doug’s and Denver’s ability to spot a scam to the test.  Do they pass with flying colors or reveal themselves to be a couple of rubes?

The Mighty Peculiar is back!  It’s a new year, a new format, with the same team at the helm!

Unsure of how to properly kick off this new season, Doug and Matt fall back on the tried and true tactic of triggering Denver about the events of Jan. 6th - leading Denver to drop a veritable cluster bomb of truth, while swatting away the notion that it was a "peaceful protest" or that the participants were "unarmed." Also, he gleefully dispatched the nonsense surrounding Ray Epps 

Then Matt makes everyone hungry by regaling them with a tale of pancakes from spaaaaaace!  This leads to some of the most ridiculous and thought provoking discussions in The Mighty Peculiar’s history.

Christian Picciolini is an award-winning television producer, a public speaker, author, antiracism
advocate, and a former extremist. Christian chronicles his involvement in and exit from the early
American white-supremacist skinhead movement in his memoir, WHITE AMERICAN YOUTH, and
is the featured subject in season 3 of WBEZ-Chicago’s 'Motive' podcast, which received the 2021
National Edward R. Murrow Award for best podcast in large market radio. For nearly two decades,
he has helped hundreds of individuals disengage from hate. He has highlighted his disengagement
process in a second book, BREAKING HATE, published in 2020 by Hachette Books, as well as in the
MSNBC documentary series of the same name that aired in 2018-2019.
